This week's summer beauty picks installment is all about coral! This awesome comes in so many forms from peach and orange tones but for this post I am focusing on the pink-toned corals. This varietly is one of my favorites since it's super girly and looks great on everyone.
MAC Creamsheen Glass in Richer, Lusher This sheer gloss add a subtle pop of color while leaving your lips super moisturized. Richer, lushers is a peach coral with no shimmer or glitter. All shine! This is by far my favorite of all the MAC lip products.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush, Pink Coral Adding a bit of blush on top of bronzer adds dimension to cheeks. This unversally-flattering color adds color and shimmer to give a great glow. Bobbi Brown blushes are packed with pigments and a little goes a long way. Buff it out with a big fluffy brush for even application.
CND Poppyfield Poppyfield is the PERFECT sizzling hot coral. It looks fantastic on both toes and fingernails and is a universally flattering color so it looks amazing on all skintones. This particular polish formula only needs one coat to look opaque so it's great on the go. A few strokes and you're good to go!

As we enter this winter season, would should consider not looking like frozen people. I'm talking about the skintone-nude lip color, kittens! I think this trend is much better suited for warm weather. Especially since we all tend to get a little sunkissed in the summer (WEAR YOUR SPF!) in which a subtle lip pairs well. As we lose our summer glows and prep for the eminent snowpocalypse, we should consider doing away with the harsh nudes and adding a bit of color.
May I suggest what I like to call a "color baby-step." I am kind of obsessed right now with Bobbi Brown's Sandwashed Pink. Its a fantastic rosy-nude with a cream finish and not a bit of shimmer. If you're like me, your lips are pretty much chapped all the way through winter no matter what you do. Shimmer only amplifies the grossness of chapped lips. However, If you don't have this problem (LUCKY!) feel free to slap a little gloss over top of this for extra sparkle. The Bobbi Brown lipsticks are really creamy and totally non-drying. They are quickly becoming one of my favorite brands of lippysticks! So kittens, are we gonna drop the nudes and explore some color this season? I sure hope so!

It really is hard to be creative with makeup in the summer. Heat and humidity is NOT very inspirational. Today I'm wearing a pink and grey plaid dress so I didn't want to get too crazy with my makeup colors. I kept it soft and neutral-ish.
