On my last full day in Paris I took a trip out to the Versailles to see the palace, which by the way they call a Chateau. Its a bit bigger than what you think of when you hear the word Chateau. It was so stunningly breathtaking. There are not ever proper words to describe its majesty. It can't even be captured in photos. I tried anyway though so here are a few looks.
I didn't realize that when the palace was overtaken during the French Revolution (I slept through most of my history classes in highschool, like an idiot. oh well) that just about everything was stripped out and sold. Sadly there weren't any clothes or shoes belonging to Marie Antoinette, but they did manage to restore a good amout of the furniture and other decor.
